TPE
2013
TPE 2013 |
Für Entwicklungs-
und Verfahrensingenieure aus dem Bereich der Elastomertechnik,
Hersteller von Fertigungsanlagen, Prüf-, Steuergeräten und von
Rohstoffen, Füllstoffen und Additiven sowie Verwender von
TPE-Bauteilen findet vom 16. bis 17. April die TPE-Konferenz im
Maritim-Hotel Nürnberg, veranstaltet vom VDI-Wissensforum,
statt.
Im Mittelpunkt
steht die Mehrkomponententechnik. Materialkombinationen zum
Erzielen spezieller Eigenschaften von Bauteilen aus Kunststoff
und deren Anwendungen sind zur Selbstverständlichkeit geworden.
TPE-Thermoplast-Verbunde nehmen einen Großteil dieser
Anwendungen ein. In diesem Zusammenhang gewinnen TPE-Werkstoffe
aufgrund ihrer thermoplastischen Eigenschaften im Vergleich zu
Gummi kontinuierlich an Einfluss.
Im Rahmen einer
begleitenden Ausstellung wird ACTEGA DS mit dem
ProvaMed®-Portfolio vor Ort sein. Falls Sie an der Tagung
Interesse haben, unter
www.vdi-wissensforum.de finden
Sie das komplette Programm und Anmeldemöglichkeiten. Wir würden
uns freuen, Sie dann an unserem Stand begrüßen zu dürfen. Falls

Organized by the VDI
Knowledge Forum, the TPE Conference taking place in the Maritim
Hotel in Nuremberg from April 16 to 17, 2013 is aimed at
development and process engineers in the area of elastomer
technology, manufacturers of production equipment, test and
control devices and raw materials, filling materials and
additives as well as users of TPE components.
The focal issue
will be multi-component technology. Material combinations for
achieving special properties for components made of plastic and
their applications have become something we now take for granted.
TPE thermoplastic compounds account for the majority of these
applications. Within this context, TPE materials are
consistently gaining in influence thanks to their thermoplastic
properties when compared to rubber.
Within the
framework of an accompanying exhibition, ACTEGA DS will be
presenting its ProvaMed® portfolio. If you are interested in the
Conference, the full program and registration details are
available at www.vdi-wissensforum.de. We would be delighted to
welcome you at our stand. If you wish to arrange an appointment,

Zukunftstechnologien für den
medizinischen Fortschritt
Future technologies for medical advances |
Werkstoffe.
A survey recently
published by the Bundesverband Medizintechnologie (BVMed)
indicates that the innovative climate for medical technology in
Germany remains steady and offers positive conditions for the
MedTech sector. Although there are restraints on account of
little innovation-friendly policy by the health insurance
companies, bureaucratic processes or uncertainties concerning
benefit assessments of medical products, the future for this
sector is regarded as being exceedingly positive, according to
the survey involving leading MedTech companies.
At the same time,
the challenges for the medical sector are increasingly complex.
There is an increase in technological and statutory requirements.
On the one hand, the environment is characterized by the
increasing requirements on patient protection while heightened
innovative pressure is accompanied by cost savings on the other
hand.
Nonetheless, many
medical applications are obliged to comply with maximum loads
such as high temperatures, pressure, friction and aggressive
media. This translates into maximum demands on materials. |

Medienbeständigkeit – auch in der Kosmetik
gefragt
Media resistance – also in demand in cosmetics |
Kosmetikverpackungen vereinen hohe Anforderungen an ästhetische
Werkstoffes. Ob Make-up- oder Puder-Dose, Lippen- oder
Mascarastift, Deoroller oder Cremespender, Kappen für
Pflegemittel oder Ladyshaver, gefragt ist ein umfassendes
Eigenschaftsprofil.
Dazu gehören:
-
Leichte
Verarbeitbarkeit
-
Hohe
Medienbeständigkeit wie gegen Kosmetikinhaltsstoffe und
Chemikalien
-
Spannungsbeständigkeit z.B. gegenüber Fetten und Ölen
-
Ausgezeichnete
Transparenz
-
Schlagzähigkeit
und Steifigkeit
-
Kratzfestigkeit
-
Brillante
Oberflächen
-
Überdurchschnittliche Farbtiefe
-
Cosmetics packaging
combines high requirements on aesthetic properties such as gloss,
scratch resistance and coloration with the technical
requirements of strength and chemical resistance. Elegant and
attractive cosmetics packaging is not therefore merely a design
issue but is also a question of the material used. Whether
make-up or powder compact, lipstick or mascara, anti-perspirant
roll-ons or cream dispenser, lids for hygiene products or lady
shavers – comprehensive properties are required.
These include:
-
easy
processability
-
high media
resistance, e.g. to cosmetic ingredients and chemicals
-
strain resistance
to greases and oils, for example
-
outstanding
transparency
-
impact strength
and rigidity
-
scratch
resistance
-
brilliant
surfaces
-
above-average
color intensity
-
UV-stability
The thermoplastic
elastomers in the ProvaMed® portfolio are distinguished by their
excellent media-resistant properties. Whether ingredients for
cosmetic products, chemicals, greases or oils – ProvaMed®
compounds are easily able to hold their own. The suitability of
these materials for processing in multi-component injection
molding – where TPEs can be feasibly and easily injected onto a
range of other plastics and metals – also opens up a wide range
of possible applications. |

Dämpfungseigenschaften für
die Orthopädietechnik
Absorption features for orthopedic technology |
Tragekomfort. Als weiche, elastische und hautverträgliche
Polster bieten sich TPE für Einlagen, Griffe, Matten und
Auflagen an. In Kombination mit antimikrobiellen
Oberflächenausstattungen können selbst bei dauerhaftem Einsatz
alle hygienischen Erfordernisse bei Gehhilfen, Orthesen oder
Bandagen gewährleistet werden.
Auf der Compamed,
20. bis 22. November, Düsseldorf werden wir weitere
Entwicklungen vorstellen.
Another focus
lies in the development of TPE whose material profile can also
be adjusted to vibration absorption and cushioning features.
This taps new areas of application in orthopedic technology, for
example. Vibration-absorbing soles or insoles relieve joints and
offer a high degree of wearing comfort. As soft, elastic and
skin-compatible pads, TPEs are also ideal as liners, handles,
mats and overlays. In combination with antimicrobial surface
finishes, all hygienic requirements can be guaranteed for
walking aids, orthoses or bandages even when subject to
permanent and long-term use.
At the Compamed, from November 20 to 22, 2013 in
Düsseldorf, we will be presenting additional developments. |
