Das Innovationsklima für Medizintechnik in Deutschland, so hat eine jetzt veröffentlichte Umfrage des Bundesverbandes Medizintechnologie (BVMed) ergeben, ist nach wie vor gut und bietet positive Bedingungen für die MedTech-Branche. Zwar gebe es auch Hemmnisse durch wenig innovationsfreundliche Politik der Krankenkassen, bürokratische Prozesse oder Unsicherheiten über Nutzenbewertungen von Medizinprodukten, dennoch werde die Zukunft dieser Branche ausgesprochen positiv bewertet, ergab die Umfrage, an der sich die führenden MedTech-Unternehmen beteiligten. more

A survey recently published by the Bundesverband Medizintechnologie (BVMed) indicates that the innovative climate for medical technology in Germany remains steady and offers positive conditions for the MedTech sector. Although there are restraints on account of little innovation-friendly policy by the health insurance companies, bureaucratic processes or uncertainties concerning benefit assessments of medical products, the future for this sector is regarded as being exceedingly positive, according to the survey involving leading MedTech companies. more

Whether make-up or powder compact, lipstick or mascara, anti-perspirant roll-ons or cream dispenser, lids for hygiene products or lady shavers – comprehensive properties are required.  more

Dämpfungseigenschaften für die Orthopädietechnik

Absorption features for orthopedic technology

Ein weiterer Fokus liegt in der Entwicklung von TPE, deren Werkstoffprofil auf Vibrationsabsorption und Dämpfungseigenschaften eingestellt werden können. Dadurch werden neue Einsatzfelder z.B. in der Orthopädietechnik erschlossen. Vibrationsabsorbierende Sohlen oder Schuheinlagen entlasten die Gelenke und bieten hohen Tragekomfort. Als weiche, elastische und hautverträgliche Polster bieten sich TPE für Einlagen, Griffe, Matten und Auflagen an. In Kombination mit antimikrobiellen Oberflächenausstattungen können selbst bei dauerhaftem Einsatz alle hygienischen Erfordernisse bei Gehhilfen, Orthesen oder Bandagen gewährleistet werden.

Auf der Compamed, 20. bis 22. November, Düsseldorf werden wir weitere Entwicklungen vorstellen.

Another focus lies in the development of TPE whose material profile can also be adjusted to vibration absorption and cushioning features. This taps new areas of application in orthopedic technology, for example. Vibration-absorbing soles or insoles relieve joints and offer a high degree of wearing comfort. As soft, elastic and skin-compatible pads, TPEs are also ideal as liners, handles, mats and overlays. In combination with antimicrobial surface finishes, all hygienic requirements can be guaranteed for walking aids, orthoses or bandages even when subject to permanent and long-term use.

At the Compamed, from November 20 to 22, 2013 in Düsseldorf, we will be presenting additional developments.
